Pam’s Pecan Pie



1 cup sugar
½ cup dark corn syrup
¼ cup melted butter
3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
extra whole pecans for decorating the top
1 unbaked 9“ pie shell

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the first three ingredients then add the eggs and chopped pecans and mix well.  Place the pie shell in a pie plate and prick with a fork. Fill the shell and arrange whole pecans whimsically. Bake for 40 minutes or until set.
